Exfoliate skin prior to use. Use a tanning mitt to protect palms of hands and apply to skin in circular movements. Shower with water after 6-12 hours and repeat process twice to achieve the longest lasting tan.

Will skip this one next time
I was excited about trying this self-tan, especially with spring right around the corner! Because the sample sizes were small, and wouldn't cover my whole body, I decided to use it on my legs. I used a tanning applicator glove I own to apply it so it wouldn't stain my hands. When applying it, it was kind of nice seeing the instant colour so you knew where it was going. That being said, I learned very quickly that you better start rubbing it in the MOMENT it touches your skin. If it sits there for even twenty/thirty seconds, that area of skin stains much darker than the rest. The tan on my first leg was not as smooth as the second leg I did because of this. I will say though, the second leg did look pretty good once I got the hang of it. I let the self-tan stay on over night while I slept, and washed it in the morning (about twelve hours from application to wash). When I showered the next morning, about 75% of the tan completely washed away. My legs are left just as pale as they were before :( So would be good for instant colour before a night out, but I personally won't be buying this in the shops the next time I'm looking for a tan.
